Fireproof Aluminum Composite Panel Products Description
B1 flame-retardant aluminium composite panel is constructed by bonding two thin aluminium face sheets onto both sides of a mineral-filled thermoplastic core.
Fire-resistant ACP is available in two fire classifications: Class B1 and Class A2.
Class B1 fire-retardant ACP incorporates 70% flame retardant filler, primarily aluminium oxide and magnesium oxide (MgO). When exposed to flame, the B1 panel ignites after approximately 5 minutes. Once the external flame source is removed, combustion on the panel self-extinguishes within 10 seconds.
For Class A2 non-combustible aluminium composite panel, its formula includes 93% flame retardant. The main components are aluminium hydroxide (Al(OH)₃) and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)₂). It only catches fire after 20 minutes of direct flame exposure, and the surface flame dies out immediately once the external heat source is taken away.
