Threaded fasteners for outdoor use

Please take the thermal expansion of the panel into account when usingthreaded fasteners outdoors. To avoid jamming, the hole diameter in thepanel must allow for the expansion. Fastening without jamming is possiblewith fascia screws made of stainless steel with sealing washer that havebeen approved for construction. The screws must be suitable for thecorresponding substructure (please note the information given by themanufacturer). The screws should be tightened with a torque wrench orscrew driver so that the sealing washer is placed on the panel for sealingthe bore hole without exerting pressure onto the panel. Hole gauges areused for centrically drilling holes into the panel and the substructure andfor centrically fitting the rivet.
