Aluminum composite material (ACM) is the sandwich composite material used to make aluminum composite panels (ACP). It consists of two thin aluminum face sheets bonded to a central core, typically polyethylene (PE) or fire-resistant mineral core. It is lightweight, flat, stiff, weatherproof and easy to fabricate. PVDF coating is preferred for exterior building cladding, while PE coating is common for interior use and signs.
